Does chrysotile asbestos cause mesothelioma? Yes. Even the asbestos company defendants today largely agree with that simple, irrefutable truth. Their strategy, instead, has been to persuade the Judge to prevent the plaintiff from bringing to trial medical experts to testify about causation without first producing job-specific epidemiology studies that shows an elevated risk of disease among workers exposed to chrysotile fibers only.
