Nancy Lemkin is a 62-year-old retired attorney, advocate and teacher for special needs children who was diagnosed with epithelial malignant pleural mesothelioma in December 2005.
Ms. Lemkin underwent a pleurectomy / decortication surgery performed by Dr. Robert Cameron at UCLA Medical Center on January 17, 2006. She is scheduled to begin radiation therapy. After radiation, she is scheduled to receive chemotherapy.
