Dear Senator ______:

I urge you to oppose the so-called "Fairness in Asbestos Injury Resolution" Act. If this bill becomes law, it will not adequately compensate the innocent victims of asbestos poisoning.

For decades, asbestos companies knew their product was deadly, but they kept it a secret, killing workers and their families, as well as the consumers of their products.

If this bill becomes law, it would delay compensation for many innocent victims of asbestos poisoning and provide NO compensation for other seriously ill victims. In addition, the "one-size-fits-all" provisions of the bill are unfair to may victims, effectively preventing them from receiving life-saving medical care for their serious illnesses.

People who already have promised settlements or are awaiting their court dates would be forced to start over again in the trust fund - AFTER waiting as long as two years while the fund gets started.

Again, I urge you to oppose the FAIR Act and protect the rights of the innocent victims of asbestos poisoning.

Sincerely,

[your name]
