Oppose Senate Bill 1125Alabama

My Poor Mother!

I am writing in protest of this so called bill S.1125. It appears this bill is for the companies who knew for years that the products they were producing caused this terrible and devastating cancer that my mother suffered with for over 1 year and 1 month from the date she was diagnosed. Asbestos made my poor dear mother turn into a blind, and completely devastated human being.

I am writing this because I watched my dear mother die from this criminal act. I took care of her and managed her affairs for her in her last year of life and PAIN

My mother was one of those many women who went to the airfields and helped build, repair, and as she used to say wire those planes back together for us to fight in WW2. She was inside of planes that they stripped the insulation out of and she told me there would be a cloud of dust from this insulation. She gave her life working on jobs for our boys overseas and for the Government.

I am the only one who can speak for her as to the pain, the reality of waking up in the middle of the night with NO air in your lungs and having to take so many pills that it was an act of God to get her to swallow them all.

My mother suffered and suffered with this cancer and I suffered with her and along the way I lost a good part of myself also. Misery loves company and I was so utterly impotent when I watched her cough up things that looked like a piece of herself. I am so against this Bill not because it would limit our monies as her dependant sons but because of the misery and pain she suffered for that year and if Senator Hatch had a taste of it perhaps he would not be so quick to be bought.
