Looking for Statistics - La Spezia Italy
My name is Michele Tricerri and I live in Italy. As CTU of the local Hall of Justice, I'm involved in a research about mesothelioma in a sailorman who belonged to many ships ( built in various yards ) from 1952 to 1989. He worked as chief engineer and died by mesothelioma in 1999. Here in Italy mesothelioma is now a common problem, but there is no statistics about it. Please can you help me?
Thank you in advance

Doctor Seeking Direction for 47 Year Old MM Patient - Italy
November 20, 1997
Dear Mr. Worthington,
I'm an Italian doctor and I have a patient of mine, a 47 female, affected with malignant pleuric mesothelioma.
I read many of your interesting articles on this matter and I was wandering if is possible if some of these new therapies is suitable for my Patient, since, here in Italy, ours pneumologists, said that a palliative chemotherapy could be the only chance to prolong a bit her survival.
If you think that we can do something more, there in the USA, or even in Europe please give me some direction
Thanks in advance for Your cooperation
Your sincerely
